The Institute was offering teacher education programme: B.Ed. leading to the Bachelor Degree in Education since 2008.

Duration : 2 Years
Aim: Preparing teachers for the secondary stage of education, i.e. classes IX-XII.
Approval and Affiliation: The Institute has the approval of NCTE, Delhi and the B.Ed. programme is permanently affiliated to the Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh University, Aligarh. Al-Barkaat Institute of Education is recognized as Minority Institution by National Commission for Minority Educational Institution, New Delhi.

Programme Learning Outcomes (PLO’s)
• To develop competency to teach the subjects of one’s specialization on the basis of accepted principles of teaching in the context of the changing school curriculum.
• To develop the skill required for effective teaching and the skills in utilizing different media and library resources in the teaching-learning process.
• To enable the teacher trainees to develop the right attitude (a) towards work (b) to carry out socially useful productive work (c) towards community and (d) towards all round growth.
• To provide sufficient theoretical and practical knowledge of health, hygiene, physical education, games, recreational activities and creative abilities.
• To enable the teacher trainees to understand the pupils, guide and counsel them in solving their academic and personal problems.
• To enables the teacher trainees to undertake the action research.
• To solve their professional problems.
• To enable the teacher trainees to develop the skills related to use of information and communication technology and to understand the latest trends in teaching and evaluation through World Wide Web.
• To establish itself as a hub of quality education center in terms of infrastructure, faculty and facilities.
• To impart value based teacher education for shaping the trainee teachers to enlighten the future generations.
