Event: Sir Syed Day Celebration 2025
On 17th October 2025 Al-Barkaat Institute of Education (ABIE) organized a program on Sir Syed Day Celebration in the Conference Hall to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sir Syed Ahmad Khan, the founder of the Aligarh Movement and a great reformer who emphasized modern education and social progress.
The event was organized by B.Ed 2nd-year students (Batch 2024–2026) under the guidance of the faculty members. The program began with a warm welcome of guests and participants. The event was anchored by Ms. Zainab Fatima (2nd Year), who conducted the program smoothly and maintained the enthusiasm throughout.
Program Highlights
The celebration included a series of speeches delivered by B.Ed 1st-year students, who spoke about Sir Syed Ahmad Khan’s life, his educational vision, and his contribution to society.

- Nameera – Topic: Ashaar Ka Majmua
- Elma – Thought
- Tooba – Ashaar
Their presentations reflected deep respect for Sir Syed Ahmad Khan and his reformist ideas.
A Quiz Competition on the life and works of Sir Syed Ahmad Khan was organized by Ms. Swaliha and her group aimed at encouraging students to learn more about his contributions.
The participants included:
Alisha, Azam Noor, Nameera Vigar, Zainab Shaheen, Asma Khan, Saba Farooq, Shabroor Ahmad, Adiba Khalid, and Simran.
The quiz tested students’ knowledge about Sir Syed’s educational philosophy, literary works, and the Aligarh Movement.
A.M.U Tarana Performance
The program concluded with a heartfelt performance of the A.M.U Tarana – “Ye Mera
Chaman Hai”, presented by both 1st and 2nd-year students.
Performers included:
Zainab Fatima, Samreen Suhail, Insha Ali, Nida Khan, Sana Haider, Sabiha Fatima, Naila (1st Year), and Adiba Khalid (1st Year).
The Tarana filled the atmosphere with pride, emotion, and unity, reminding everyone of the vision and legacy of Sir Syed Ahmad Khan.
Conclusion
The Sir Syed Day Celebration 2025 at the B.Ed Department, Al-Barkaat Institute of Education was a successful and inspiring event. It provided students with an opportunity to understand and appreciate Sir Syed’s mission of education, enlightenment, and empowerment. The program ended with a message to carry forward his ideals through dedication to learning and service to society.
